"An annual competition that builds friendships and memories that last a lifetime and span generations!"
Wowser! What a scorcher!
FIG temperatures reached the 90’s this weekend, but the competition was also red hot! The BLUE Team edged out the WHITE Team in a sudden death playoff. The first such playoff in the 30-year history of the FIG!
Thanks to all of you for fighting for every point. This is a great example of how every day, every match, and every shot are important to the team. Think of what YOU could have done to help break the tie this weekend!
The Blue Captains, Jay Moore, Brant Herzer, Pat Oldani, and David Kellay, provided excellent leadership all weekend. Thank you for handling your duties with class throughout the year.
Other notable performances include:
· Max Bacon, Gold Cup
· Brian Porter, Silver Cup
· Dennis Buckley, Crystal Cup
· Jack Cronyn, Stanley Cup (The Young Buck)
· Tim Cronyn and Tanner Truscott, Father/Son
· Bob Oldani, Fellowship
Congratulations to all closest, longest, skins, horse auction, best ball, and flight victors! Enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done!
Please keep sending in your brilliant suggestions for the FIG, it’s the way we all get better!
Finally, the 30th Anniversary video tribute can be watched here.
Enjoy your summer!

Hello Figsters!
The FIG 2025 Teams, Pairings, and Room Assignments have recently been posted. Take some time to review them and get yourself mentally prepared for the matchups! The Captains have spent hours creating the perfect blend of teams. Don’t let them down!
Enjoy each match as an opportunity to live the ideals of Fellowship!
We will see you in a few weeks at the Thursday putting contest or the Friday introductory meeting.
Here are also a few reminders for you:
- If you won a trophy last year (a Major Trophy or a Flight trophy), please engrave and return it.
- Please wear your team’s colors for the evening matchups.
- Bring your rain gear (ugh!).
Get ready for the 30th, great FIG weekend!

The FIG Committee
Hello Figsters!
FIG 30 is coming up quickly! Is your golf game ready?
The FIG Committee is also getting prepared! Room assignments, tee times, meals, teams, handicaps, rules, a million other details, including rain-prevention tactics, are all in the works!
The Captains are creating the pairings for Friday and Saturday evenings. So you can blame them for being "stuck" with the wrong guys!
We will post all of these details soon!
Get your game mid-summer ready. Tweak those Fellowship skills. Prepare for a fun FIG in just over a month!
Yours in Golf,
The FIG Committee
Happy January Figsters! When the snow turns black, and the winter drags on, it’s the thought of the fires of FIG competition and the warmth of FIG fellowship that gives us courage!
Here are some important details for this year’s event:
The FIG is once again on the traditional weekend, just after Father’s Day. This year, that’s June 20-22.
The FIG returns to Manistee National Golf and Resort in Manistee, Michigan.
The price for three days of golf, three nights of lodging is $705.75
This remains a good value, given inflation, and the ridiculous rates that Michigan resorts are charging!
The White Teams will look to defend their title and bragging rights. Your spot is secure on your previous squad… as long as you register and deposit $ 210 ($190 without Skins) before February 9th.
We've also written down some of the "unwritten FIG rules"
Super Seniors (70+) are allowed to play from the Forward tees, but if you do, you are ineligible to win any flight trophies or the gold/silver/crystal cup. You can still win skins, closest to the pin, long drive, and the Father and Son Trophy
Everyone else plays from the White tees, no exceptions.
Match play scoring: 2 points per scramble match, 1 point per Sunday match. This makes it roughly 50% points for the scrambles, 50% for Sunday, ripe for big Sunday comebacks!
Now, before I put the registration link here, a couple of words about registration:
In the registration form this year, there's a field that asks if you were at last year's FIG. We will obviously be manually checking this as well, but anyone who did not attend last year's FIG will automatically be put on the waitlist to begin. With how we are continuing teams from year to year, this will be the standard. Priority will be given to the previous year's attendees, and any open spaces beyond that will be handled by the waitlist.
If you are a returner, the email will have the deposit link in there like normal, and make sure you put your deposit in ASAP.
If you are put on the waitlist, your email will not have a deposit link.
If you are taken off the waitlist and invited to the FIG, we will send you a deposit link once that time is done.
We suggest you register as soon as you receive this note!
After the February 9th deadline for returners, we will start to figure out who we will be inviting from the waitlist.
They will then be sorted onto the Blue or White Teams from there.
Without further ado: Register Now
So… follow the link, register, deposit, and start working on your game! Thanks for being a loyal Figster!
Dream of wide fairways and lush greens.

The FIG Committee
Hello Figsters! and Congratulations to the White Team!
Although the weather was miserable, the company and the competition was as good as ever. Thanks to all of you for making the most of the weekend, and fighting through the elements. Show me someone who has done something worthwhile, and I'll show you someone who has overcome adversity.
The White victory, was assured through the good captaincy of White Tyler Campbell, Steve Feeny, Grant Harris, and Judd Herzer. Thanks to all (8) Captains!
Other notable performances include:
Max Bacon, Gold Cup
Robert Rivard, Silver Cup
Dave Swoish, Crystal Cup
Brian Oldani, Stanley Cup
Mike and Brian Oldani, Father/Son
Mike Maust, Fellowship
Finally, congratulations to all closest, longest, skins, horse auction, best ball, and flight victors.
Continue to send us your suggestions for the FIG. Combining ideas makes us all smarter. Thanks for being great, patient, flexible, and fun guys!
